Auckland to Cape Reinga, New Zealand

We drove south past the ancient buried Kauri forests, through Kaitaia and stopped for lunch at the Puketi Forest Pools DoC. Very pretty with its towering trees and clear flowing Waipapa River. Continuing south along State Highway 1,our next stop was at Waipu Caves south of Whangarei.
